Nielsen Fleet is looking for an Emergency Vehicle Upfit Coordinator to join the team. The Upfit Coordinator will ensure the successful customization and delivery of emergency vehicles. This position requires an experienced Install Technician with expertise in emergency vehicle upfitting, including lighting, push bumpers, radio consoles, and prisoner cages. The candidate must be well-spoken, detail-oriented, and adept at coordinating with multiple departments to meet customer specifications and project timelines.

- Customer Consultation: Work alongside the Sales Representative during the sales process and engage directly with customers post-sale to finalize lighting placement, integrate customer-supplied parts, and address customization needs.
- Project Communication: Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their ordered vehicles, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the upfitting process.
- Parts Coordination: Collaborate with the Parts Department to ensure all required components are ordered and available, including verifying stock levels for standard items to prevent delays
- Technical Oversight: Partner with Install Technicians to ensure vehicles are built to specifications, maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure vehicles are ready for delivery, verifying that all equipment, including lighting, push bumpers, radio consoles, and prisoner cages, is installed correctly and functioning according to specifications.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Facilitate seamless communication between Sales, Parts, and Installation teams to streamline workflows and meet project deadlines.
